MOREDA, JR., Joe 82, of Tampa, passed away July 30, 2013. He is survived by his soul mate and wife of 58 years, Madeline Moreda; sons, Joseph III (Denice), David (Lori), Christopher (Athena), and Michael Moreda; grand-daughters, Danielle and Jacqueline; sister-in-law, Pearl (Tony) Scionti; caregiver and companion, Christina; and many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Remedios Sanchez Moreda. Joe was a retired auto mechanic that worked for Tampa Transit, Sharpe Cadillac, and Hillsborough County Fleet Maintenance where he was awarded Employee of the Year 1989-1990. He was considered the best auto mechanic in Tampa. You could say that Joe's work ethic was relentless. He loved being in the garage from morning to evening. But, his first love was his wife. They could be found on the porch, Joe enjoying his cigar and Madeline smiling by his side. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday afternoon, August 3, at 12:30 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 5225 N. Himes Ave., with the family receiving friends from 11:30 AM until time of the Mass. Graveside services will follow in Centro Espanol Memorial Park. Pallbearers include: Andrew and Ryan Arena, Raymond Gonzalez, Jeno and Anthony Scionti. Honorary Pallbearer: Tony Scionti.
