Kenneth R. "Kenny" MAGYAR Sr.

MAGYAR, Kenneth "Kenny" R., Sr., 93 of Sebring, Florida, passed away Monday, July 1 at Somer Hospice House, surr-ounded by friends and family after succombing to heart failure. He was born June 20,1920 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey to the late Johanna and Peter Magyar. Kenny served in World War II in the United States Navy and was an original plank holder on the USS New Jersey. Kenny came to Sebring with his wife Norma in 2002 after working in Orlando as a courier for Stewart Enterprises for 23 years. Kenny has been active in the Masons since the 1970's, most recently with the Sebring Lodge. Kenny was known as "Admiral" to his Masonic brothers, "Chief" to his familly and a man who would "get things done" to all. His fighting spirit and desire to help children will be missed by everyone. Kenny was preceded in death by his twin brother Gordon Magyar. He is survived by his wife, Norma J. Magyar of Sebring, daughters, Stephanie Verge of Rochester, New Hampshire, Mimi Magyar of Bethesda, Maryland, and Amy Magyar of Burlington, Vermont, sons, Kenneth Magyar, Jr. of Sebring, Edward Magyar of Union, New Jersey and Edward R. Verge of Rochester, New Hampshire, six grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. Services will be at the Sebring Masonic Lodge in Sebring on Saturday, July 6th at 4:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 3:30 at the Lodge until service time.
