WILLIAMS, Margie Norman, 89 of Zephyrhills, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2013. Margie was born to William Hayes and Ethel Price Norman on October 29, 1923 in Gernt, Tenn. She graduated from Clarkrange High School in 1942 where she was Senior Class President and was best known as the wittiest, most musical and always happy. She attended Tennessee Wesleyan College from 1942 - 1944 where she earned her AA degree in Home Economics and was a member of the Alpha Gamma Chapter of Eta Upsilon Gamma. She married the late Don "Coach" Williams October 27, 1945. A short time later Don was called to teach once again at Millikin University from 1959 - 1969 before the couple returned to Tampa where Coach Don became the first basketball coach at USF until his retirement in 1974. Margie worked many years beside Coach Williams as his greatest and most enthusiastic fan. She was a homemaker who loved her family more than anything in life. Her hobbies were watching basketball games, reading, knitting, sewing and baking. As an active member of PEO Chapter EU, she was successful in helping many achieve their educational goals through the PEO scholarship program while making many loving and devoted sisters. Her undying faith and journeys introduced her to many people, none of which were strangers.
