GRAHAM, M.D.,Paul Albert, of Valrico FL, formerly of Vero Beach, FL died March 20, 2013 after a long illness. He was 78. Born in Cleveland, OH, he grew up in Wheeling, WV and graduated from Princeton University
and Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons where he was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha. After residency at University Hospitals, Cleveland, OH and Walter Reed Army Medical Center, he served as Chief of Surgery at the 71st Evacuation Hospital in Pleiku, Vietnam, Chief of General Surgery at Ft. Ord, CA, and Chief of General Surgery at Ft. Meade, MD. He practiced general and thoracic surgery in Orlando, FL and Vero Beach, FL from 1974 until his retirement in 2000. He was a member of the board of Indian River Memorial Hospital in Vero Beach and served Trinity Episcopal Church, Vero Beach as a vestry member, Senior Warden and Bible study teacher. He was later a member of Christ Church, Vero Beach. A man of deep faith, Paul enjoyed reading, family, and golf. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Adaire, a brother, Kent of Sedona, AZ, sons Paul Jr. (Beth) of Pleasantville, NY and Drew (Betsy) of Tampa, FL and daughters Claire Frieder (Stephen) of Mt. Kisco, NY and Bethany Burge (Samuel) of Atlanta, GA. He treasured his time with his ten grandchildren, Mark, Matthew and Nathaniel Graham, Jack, Ben and Charlotte Graham, and Jane, William, Daniel and Grace Frieder. A private memorial service will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church, 906 S. Orleans Avenue, Tampa, FL on Saturday, March 23, 2013.
