Paul Reginald Flow Jr.

FLOW, JR., Paul Reginald, 87, of New Port Richey, originally of Monroe, NC, passed away Friday, 27 June 2014 at Lakeside Oaks Nursing Home in Dunedin, FL. Paul was preceded in death by his father, Paul Reginald Flow, Sr. and mother, Myrtle Spoon Flow, both of Monroe, NC; brother, James Wright Flow, Lucedale, MS. He is survived by his wife, Pat W. Flow of New Port Richey, FL; sisters, Sara Catherine Wellborn (Robert), Bass Harbor ME, Mary Anne Flow, Ft. Walton Beach, FL; and sons, James Richard Flow (Diane) of Monroe, NC, Edwin E. Flow (Carol) of Orange Park, FL; daughters, Paula Flow Schmidt (Thomas), Richmond, VA., Lisa Flow Hoffman of Clearwater FL; and step-daughter, Kathleen Warmuth (Frank) of Foresthill, CA. Paul also leaves behind nine grand- children, seventeen great-grand children, and five great-great-grandchildren. Paul served with the United States Navy, a Veteran of World War II, seeing action in the Pacific Theater aboard the escort carrier, USS Natoma Bay, (CVE -62), serving as an aircraft mechanic. He earned the American Area Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Medal with two Stars, the Philippines Liberation Medal with two Stars, and the World War II Victory Medal. Following his service years, Paul became a commercial under the GI Bill and worked as a crop duster and certified flight instructor. He was a contract Air Force Instrument Instructor pilot, flying the T-28 aircraft at the former Spence Field near Moultrie, GA, later as a corporate pilot for several companies. In his later years, he undertook a career in the packaging industry serving as Maintenance Engineer, Project Engineer, and Plant Manager. Paul retired from Cavalier Carton in Tampa relocating from Oldsmar to New Port Richey where he enjoyed his retirement years building and flying R/C models with the Bay City Flyers of Pasco County. He was an avid member of Dade City Rod and Gun Club, as Board of Directors, Instructor and Range Safety Officer.
