Robert E. GRIFFITH

GRIFFITH, Robert E., "Bob", 79, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, October 20, 2012. He graduated from Hillsborough High School in Tampa, FL and attended the University of Florida. Bob proudly served his country as a United States Marine during the Korean conflict. Also during his lifetime, he worked for the Tampa Police Department, was a Border Patrol Agent in El Paso, TX, was RAC ATF, retired in 1984 and a Florida State Investigator, retired in 2010. Bob was a patriot who loved his family and friends, golfing, fishing, hunting, painting and the Florida Gators. He was greatly loved and will be dearly missed. Semper Fi. He is survived by his wife, Bettie Louise Risener Griffith; son, Robert E. Griffith (Denise); daughters, Katie Griffith, Beth Griffith Miller (Ted); grandchildren, Justin, Harrison, and Garrett Griffith and Jessie Miller. He is predeceased by his parents, George E. and Kathryn Riggins Griffith and brother, Bill Griffith. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00pm Thursday, November 1 in the Chapel of Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
