CRUM, Robert "Bob" Warren, was born Feb. 25, 1927 in Homeland, in Central Florida. He passed peacefully March 19, 2013. Bob was proud of his "Cracker" heritage, being fourth generation native Floridian on both sides of his family. He served in the army
and graduated from his treasured University of Florida
in 1952. He was a lifelong avid "Gator," living a life of orange and blue. Bob savored life to the fullest. As a pilot he logged several thousand hours in his Beechcraft Bonanzas, making frequent trips to Canada and Colorado. He was a proud member of the Ancient Order of Quiet Birdmen (QBs) and the Confederate Air Force. He leaves his beloved companion of 28 years Kaia Elam; daughters Gayle Stamler, Jill Crum and Teri Susak; Karen Elam Solomon and Stephanie Elam; and Cynthia (Sissy) Waldron. He is also survived by grandchildren, Zachary and Jessica Stamler; Ben, Eric and Kira Susak; Eden, Elias and Leo Solomon; sons-in-law Michael Stamler, Howard Solomon and Thomas Yanish; and nephews, Tim (Kelly) Connell, Dan Wines and Bob (Rhonda)Wines. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, March 22, 6-8 p.m. at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home in Riverview. Memorial celebration of his life will be at the Methodist Church in Homeland Historical Park on Saturday, March 23.
