Ruben Oscar MIRO Jr.

MIRO, Ruben Oscar Jr., 66, passed away at his home on July 1, 2013, surround-ed by his loving family. Ruben is survived by Daisy, his wife of 15 years; daughters, Nancy Tetter, Janet Puleo, Danielle Haller, and son, Keeland Saunders; his grandchildren Jazmin Teter, Brianna and Annabella Puleo, Logan and Kiera Haller, Stellar and Ruben David Saunders, along with family in Florida and Panama. Ruben was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. He was born in the Republic of Panama, where he and his brother were the original pioneers of surfing on the beaches of Rio Mar and Santo Domingo. For the last 20 years, he worked at the Tampa Greyhound Track. He enjoyed his life and his job and made many friends along the way. Brianna and Annabella will miss how Lelo always had candy to greet them. They will miss swimming in the Summer and seeing the Christmas lights with him each Winter. Logan and Kiera will forever remember Grandpa's tips on cooking, construction and most certainly on music. He will never be forgotten. He will be laid to rest in Panama. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Moffitt Cancer Center.
