Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Michael Neely officiating. Ruth was born November 16, 1920, in Pleasantville, N.J., to James Austin and Virginia Tyler. She was a resident of Tampa for the past 20 years, after retiring from civil services as an administrative manager at the City of New York Administration Office of Personel Services in 1982. She moved to Pleasantville, N.J., and was employed as an administrative assistant by the Salvation Army in Atlantic City, N.J., for nine years. Ruth is survived by her daughters, Ruth-Ann Marie Buford of Mays Landing, N.J., and Roslyn Ann Buford of Tampa; a surviving sister, Virginia Miller of Tampa; her grandsons, David E. Buford of McDonough, Ga., and Anthony D. Farrow Sr. of Pleasantville, N.J.; three grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. A viewing will take place
