THOMPSON, Wanda W., 86, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away May 10, 2014. She was born October 24, 1927 in Carter County, Kentucky one of eight children growing up on the farm. Wanda also lived in Ohio, New York, and Washington State before relocating to Florida over three decades ago. Wanda was a loving wife of 57 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul, Brothers Jim and John (Sam) and Sister Lois. Wanda was the quintessential homemaker. She was a loving and supportive mother to her three sons and a very generous person. Wanda held everyone she loved close to her heart. She was also a volunteer for several organizations and took pride encouraging her family to always volunteer and help others. Wanda is survived by her three sons; Eric, wife Tham of Sarasota, Gregory, wife Patricia of Tampa, and Christopher, wife Karen of Valrico. Grandchildren; Eldon, Nicholas, Andrew and Erica; Alexander; Cathy and Chris; Great-grandchildren; Dylan, Chelsea and Taylor; brother Howard, wife Jean and sisters Faye, Betty, husband Jim and Alta all residing in Ohio; several nieces and nephews, and many loving family members and friends. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 16, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, May 17th at 10:00 A.M.
