Yetive Brooks OLSON

OLSON, Yetive Brooks joined her husband of 65 years, Lester K. Olson, in

heaven, March 12, 2010, at home, with her family by her side. She was born in Tampa, September 28, 1913, to Lottie Lee Tinny Brooks and Arthur Eugene Brooks. She is survived by her only child, Dwight W. Olson, Sr.; and two grandchildren, Wayne Olson (Heather) and Cheryl Flohr (Rob). She leaves behind five great- grand-children, that she adored and cherished, Nathan and Mark Olson and Andrew, Alex and Abbie Grace Flohr. Mrs. Olson was a proud member of four Florida pioneering families. She was a member of the DeSoto Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a founding member of the University of Tampa Minaret Society. She was a proud graduate of Hillsborough High School and enjoyed researching her genealogy and heritage. The family would like to thank her dear friend, Lynda; caregivers, Janet and Geri; and the Hospice Jade team, for their love and support these last few months. A brief graveside service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, March 15, 2010, at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. To honor Mrs. Olson' s love for spring, the family requests that guests wear spring colors to the service.
