Barbara Dayhoff Obituary

DAYHOFF, Barbara Arndt, 75, of Avon Park, died Friday, June 17, 2005, at home. Mrs. Dayhoff was born March 22, 1930. She lived in Norwich, Conn., before residing in Avon Park since 1988. She was a teacher of English to speakers of other languages in Connecticut public schools, New York University, and overseas in Beirut, Lebanon. She was a member of the Union Congregational Church of Avon Park and a member of the River Greens Golf Course. She attended Allegheny College of Meadville, Pa. She was predeceased by her husband, Van Dayhoff, in 1997, and by her parents, Robert and Dorothy Arndt of Westfield, N.J. Surviving are her four cousins, Mrs. Dorothy Clark Parr of Randolph, N.J., Mrs. Patricia Clark Freeman of Townsend, Mass., Mrs. Sandra Clark Gamblin of Keedysville, Md., and Mr. Richard Alvin Shively of High Point, N.C. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, 111 E. Circle St., Avon Park. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral hom e. Burial will be in Westfield, N.J. Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home Avon Park, Fla.
