Joe Greathouse Obituary
GREATHOUSE, Joe Stephen Jr., 81, passed away May 28, 2001. Joe
was born in Lewisport,
Hancock County, Ky. He served in the U.S. Air Force; was the director of Vanderbilt University Hospital, Nashville, Tenn.; director of the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics, Columbia, Mo.; and vice president for planning and program development Eastern Virginia Medical School, Norfolk, Va. He was a member of the American Hospital Association and was past president of the Tennessee Hospital Association. Joe was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Lydia Catherine Edwards Greathouse, and his sister, Michal. He leaves his loving wife, Linda Howard Greathouse of Spring Hill, Fla.; children, Amy Faye Greathouse Stovall (Thomas) of Virginia Beach, Va., and Joan Todd Greathouse Noble (John) of Homewood, Calif.; grand-children, Joseph Todd Stovall, Thomas Brett Stovall and Henry Ross Stovall, all of Virginia Beach. He also leaves his brother, Frank Clark Greathouse of Lewisport. Graveside services will take place at 2 p.m. June 3 at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or HPH Hospice. Brewer & Sons
