CANALEJO, Anthony "Tony" Nicolos, 94 of Tampa, passed away peacefully at his home on, January 14, 2013. Born in Key West, his family moved to Tampa when he was a young boy where he then lived for the rest of his life. He was a Veteran having proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. Tony worked for Pepsi Cola Bottling Company for 56 years beside his brother, Robert, working many of those years as Advertising Manager. Tony loved to bowl, work in his yard and paint. He bowled for many years together with his beloved wife Margaret until her death in 2002. As he then continued to bowl well into his 90's. His great love of painting will long be remembered by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, wife of 54 years, Margaret Canalejo; and is survived by his sons, Rene A.(Dioris) Canalejo and Ronnie J. (Lea) Canalejo; daughter, Sylvia (Ronnie) Campbell. Grandchildren, Denielle Hoffman, Stephenie (Artie) Busch, Tina Canalejo, Tiffeney (Wayne) Cusick, Lauren Canalejo, Damon, Scott and Michael Klee. Great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Austin, Hailey, Abbiegale, Raven and Taylor. Brother, Robert (Lucy) Canalejo; Caretaker, Augustina Alonso and family. Also the family would like to thank his many bowling friends, all of his Doctors and the Burgundy team at LifePath Hospice for their friendship, care and compassion. Tony life was filled with great joy and happiness by spending time with his family and we all felt truly blessed by having him in our lives. Graveside funeral services will take place on Thursday morning, January 17, at 11 o'clock at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4207 E. Lake Ave., Tampa.
