TIMMONS, JR. Doyal Edgar, of Tampa, died in his home on October 22, 2013 of natural causes. He was born in LaBelle, Fl. on January 6, 1927, to Doyal and Alma Timmons, Sr. He served in the Navy during WWII and upon his return was employed by the Fla. Game Commission. He earned his Master's degree in Agricultual Education at the University of Florida and was a member of Kappa Alpha. He taught vocational agriculture and shop in Tampa at Sligh Jr. High, King High and Eastbay High in Ruskin, where he was referred to as "Teach". He is survived by his daughters, Sue Tanner (Jay), Lakeland; Pat Rogers, Winter Haven; step-daughter Litha Langford (Garrry) and step-son Eddie Luker (Lisa), Lakeland; 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren. He also leaves behind sisters; Deloyce (Klaus) Conrad, Seefeld, Germany and Elise (Don) Lawton, Houston, TX, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Inez. Services will be private. Lakeland Memorial Gardens.
