PARISO, Harriet E., 99, widow of Stanley B. Pariso passed away August 30, 2014. She was born August 25, 1915 in the town of Wheaton in Chippewa Cty., WI to Gertrude and Oscar Oien. Raised in Eau Claire, WI she graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire in 1938. For 24 years she taught in public and parochial schools in Wisconsin, Nebraska and Texas. Truly a member of "The Greatest Generation", she served as an inspector in a munitions plant in Eau Claire during World War II. Following retirement from teaching she was Director of Volunteers at the Univer-sity of Texas Medical Branch Hospital in Galves-ton, TX. Later she served as Activities Director for Hillhaven Health Care facilities in Las Vegas and Carson City, NV. A Catholic, Mrs. Pariso was active in parish activities, wherever she and her husband resided. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Tim & Chris Pariso; granddaugh-ters, Courtney Pariso, Laura Boothroyd (Dennis), Alyssa Slavinsky (David), and Lisa Griner (Adam). Her great- grandchildren, Conner, Tymothy, Shelbie, Emily, Ryan, Sidney and Nicholas were the lights of her life. A memorial service cele-brating her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Jude's Childrens Hospital.
