Robert GREGORY Obituary

GREGORY, Robert M., 84, of Sebring, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Sebring, Florida. "Bob" was born in San Francisco, California, to Roberta and Telfer Gregory on January 29th, 1929. He went to Jefferson Union High School and graduated in 1948. He went on to earn a BA in English/Social Science from San Francisco State University and a Master of Arts at American University in Washington, DC. Bob was a Korean War vet who proudly served as Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp. in 1951 and 1952. During his 21 years at the National Association of Dental Laboratories in Alexandria, Virginia, Bob served as both Executive Director and Managing Editor. Post retirement, Bob worked at Health and Rehabilitative Services in Sebring, Fl. Bob enjoyed playing his guitar and serenading his wife, friends, and family. For many years, Bob was an avid golfer and member of Spring Lake Men's Golf Association. He loved to fish, read, and watch his favorite sports teams. Bob is survived by his wife Peggy of Sebring, Florida, and his son Mark Gregory of Annandale, Virginia. Bob will be greatly missed by his step-children Steve Keedy, Hope Salamone, Robert Hoffer Jr., and Kathy McGivern, as well as his nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Robert Gregory's final resting place will be Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or Good Shepherd Hospice of Sebring, Florida.
