ALLEN, STERLING B., 86, of Sebring, FL died at his home on February 27, 2013. He was born in Lordsburg, New Mexico and was a veteran of W.W. II, serving in the U.S. Navy. Sterling is survived by his wife Rebecca, his daughter Leana Revell and her husband Jim of Sebring, and by his son Sterling Dale Allen and his wife Trisha of Anchorage, Alaska. Sterling and Rebecca had another son, Sterling Blane Allen of Seattle, Washington who died five years ago. They have five grandchildren, Dawn Adams, Everette, Washington, Sterling Brent Allen, Houston, Texas, April Grutner (deceased) of Round Rock, Texas, Benjamin Allen Revell, San Antonio, Texas and Zachary Shlosar, Anchorage, Alaska. Sterling was also grand-grandfather to Abagail, Thomas, Ava, Forrest and Quinn. Grandpa coached the girls 8th grade baseball team, was a scout leader for this boys and he never missed an opportunity to participate in his kids activities. He taught his kids how to fix cars, how to fish, camp, and how to treat others fairly. He was a kind, quite and gentle man who could always be depended upon to help others. Sterling was a member of the Church of Christ, he loved the Lord and looked forward to being with Him in Heaven. The world was a much better place because Sterling lived. Memorial services will be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico at a later date. The family wishes to thank so many for their acts of kindness and expressions of love.
