CROFT, William H. "Bill", of Tampa, FL passed away April 23, 2013. A native of Staunton, VA., Bill was a resident of Tampa, FL since 1981. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Y. Croft, and daughter, Donna C. Falbow. Survivors include two sisters, Betty C. Thacker and June C. Brooking; two granddaughters, Traci and Tammi and four great- grandchildren,as well as several nieces and nephews. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, serving as Staff Sergeant in the 1927th Engineer Aviation Company. He was an employee of Black and Decker for more than thirty years before his retirement. Mr. Croft was very active with the Egypt Shriners, of Tampa, FL., serving on several committees. He was especially interested in the Shriner's Hospital for Children where he was assistant hospital chairman. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge Holyrood Number 257 and has been active in the Masonic service for more than sixty years. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 2 at 1 p.m. at the chapel of Gonzalez Funeral Home, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Entombment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
