BISSI, William L "Bill", 97, New Port Richey Florida died Friday, August 16, 2013 at Trinity Memorial Hospital Newport Richey. Born in Chicago Illinois on October 9, 1915, Mr. Bissi has been a resident of New Port Richey since 1982.He received degrees from Northwestern University, Medill School of Journalism and The George Washington University Law School. He served in the US Army during World World War II at the beaches of Normandy on D-day. Mr. Bissi opened his Disability Advocacy firm in New Port Richey in 1983. He was founder, president and an advocate for the disabled for 30 years. Mr. Bissi, "The Man Who Cares", has helped countless people obtain a better quality of life. Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend will be missed by everyone who knew him. He is survived by his son, Douglas E. Bissi; daughters, Deborah B. Brockington (Daryl), Rebecca A. Bissi (Dr. Joshua Bloom), Roberta B. D'Addario (Steven); 8 grandchildren, Jessica L. Zickefoose, Jason A. Hardman, Andrea C. D'Addario, John A. Hardman, Christopher S. D'Addario, Lauren M. D'Addario, Rachel F. Bloom, Sarah E. Bloom; 2 great grandchildren, Diana L. Zickefoose, Stefan L. Zickefoose. Preceded in death by his late wife, Dorothy J. Bissi. Visitation Tuesday, Aug. 20 5-8PM at Dobies FH-7Springs Chapel where services will be held Wednesday at 10AM.
