LADNER, W.E. (Bill), Jr., 78, celebrated his entrance into heaven on May 4, 2014 in the presence of loved ones after a 10 year battle with Parkinson's Disease. He was born in Prichard, AL. His life was transformed as a child when he received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. He graduated from Baylor with a degree in Business Administration. He served his country in the United States Air Force following the Korean War. Mr. Ladner successfully owned and operated his own Independent Insurance Agency, in Temple Terrace for 30 years. He was a member and former president of both the Florida Association of Independent Insurance Agents and the Temple Terrace Rotary Club. He was a respected member of First Baptist Church of Temple Terrace for 38 years where he served as a Sunday School teacher and Deacon Chairman. Following his retirement, he moved to St. Augustine and became a member of Anastasia Baptist Church. Bill is survived by his devoted wife, Janice, his mother, Bonnie; a brother, Ben (Nancy) daughters Cindy French (Rick), Julie McNair (Randy), Jennie Ladner - Jones (Dan); step daughters, Leigh Ann McBride (Greg), Laura Sevier (Doug); 13 grandchildren. A memorial service in his honor will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Temple Terrace, 10002 N. 56th Street. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's memory can be made to F.B.C.T.T. St. Johns Family Funeral Home in St. Augustine, FL. is in charge of arrangements.
