JAEGER, Anne Graves, 92, of Tampa, passed away December 1, 2012. The daughter of Lyle and Alma Graves, Anne was born June 21, 1920 in Brownsville, TN. Her family moved to Tampa in 1937, while she was still in high school, and she always considered herself a true Floridian. She was a 1938 graduate of Plant High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and the girls' basketball team. Anne was a graduate of Jackson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Miami, and was very proud of her RN designation. She worked at Tampa General, later moving to St. Joseph's Hospital, where she served as the 3-11 nursing supervisor for almost 20 years. A beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Anne's home on W. Virginia Ave. was considered "home base" for her grandchildren as well as her children. She was predeceased by her husband Harry, whom she met under the mistletoe at a Christmas party in 1943; and by her adored only granddaughter, Mary MacGrogan Kinsella. Mom taught us many things; not the least of which is a lifelong love of reading, and a deep sense of what is practical. Her influence, advice and sympathetic ear will be greatly missed by all who loved her. She is survived by her daughters, Robin Chafin and Laura Vickers; her son, Lyle Jaeger; grandchildren, John and Rob MacGrogan, Matt Jaeger, Chris Chafin, Jim and Grayum Vickers; and 7 great grandchildren. There will be a family service at a later date. Please sign the online guestbook at www.blountcurrywest.com
