MIRO, M/Sgt. Augustine Lester "Al," 94, who was born in Ybor City, FL, and lived most of his life in Tampa and Land O' Lakes, passed away peacefully December 8, 2012, surrounded by his daughters and extended family. He was a devoted husband of 68 years and a loving, motivating role model to not only his daughters and grandchildren, but to many other close friends and family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Elizabeth "Libby" Miro. He is survived by three daughters, Helen Miro, Betty Shelton and her husband, Steve and Patricia Miro-Harrison and her, husband, Ben; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends. Al will forever be remembered by his family for his never-ending love, compassion and care for them and so many others. Thanks be to God for the long and blessed life he was given; and thanks be to God for the wonderful life he gave to his family. A celebration of his life will take place at 11 AM, Friday, December 14, 2012, at First United Methodist Church of Land O' Lakes, 6209 Land O' Lakes Boulevard, Land O' Lakes, FL.
