WARGO, Betty L., 81, a lifetime resident of Tampa, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2013. Betty and husband Ernest (deceased) were active for years in the environmental community. Her photos of wildlife and Florida native plants appear in books, magazines, newsletters and USF's Atlas of Florida Vascular Plants. She worked tirelessly supporting environmental causes and was recognized locally and nationally for her contributions. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and a wonderful cook. Betty is survived by daughter Patti Girard and grandsons Jacob (Robin) and Taylor; daughter Sandy Moore (Jim) and grandchildren Russell and Ellen; son Ernie Wargo (Dawn) and grandchildren Ernie, Jr. (Stefanie) and Sara Nimon (Brant)and great grandchildren Ava and Max Nimon; step-daughter and best friend, Ethel Chastain (Cecil, deceased), and her children Jack, Janet and James; sister Bobbie Foster (Leroy); sister-in-law Audrey Faircloth (Jimmy, deceased); and many nieces and nephews.
