MEYER, Charles Addison, 92, died September 2, 2012. He was the son of the late Charles John Meyer and Sarah Marie Richter of Erie, PA. Charles was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary Lou Heath Meyer, and his sister, Dorothy Carrick. He is survived by his daughters, Julie Blackwell (Terry), and Nancy Mulholland (Michael); granddaughters, Mary Mulholland (Nathan), Sarah Rivard (Robert), and Victoria Nieto (Elieser); and two great granddaughters, Faith and Ellie Nieto. Charles was a WWII veteran, having served as a chemical officer who supervised the Army Chemical Chore activities. He was veteran of the Korean War, serving as a captain in the infantry who oversaw the distribution of weapons trains to other troops stationed in Korea. He was then transferred to Osaka, Japan as the director of the Army Chemical Chore. His daughter, Nancy, was born there. He moved his family from Erie, PA to Tampa, FL in 1958. In 1960, he was hired by the Hillsborough County Court System as an administrator overseeing the collection of child support. He retired in 1985. He was a member of the Hillsborough County Employees Credit Union, and a member of the board of regents for more than a decade. He was a wonderful, cheerful, honorable man throughout his life. He was cherished by his family members who are sorrowful for their loss, but will always cherish the memories with which they were left.
