WISE, Clyde J. "Buddy", 85, of Lake Placid, FL, was reunited with his Lord early Friday morning, October 5, 2012. Buddy passed away at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring, Fla., comforted by family and friends. Buddy was born in Geneva County, Alabama, on October 19, 1926, son of Rudy Wise of then Samsom, AL, and later Sebring, Fla., and Ms. Bertha Gray Wise of Samson, AL, and later of Frostproof, Fla. Buddy entered the US Army after high school and is a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Buddy married Jeanette Zorn of Lake Placid in 1950 and they remained married for 58 years, until Jeanette's death in 2008. Buddy is a retired barber, having served the Lake Placid community for over 35 years. He also served two terms as Highlands County Commissioner. Buddy was an active member of the Faith Baptist Church in Lake Placid, having served as Deacon. Buddy is survived by his four sons and daughter in law, Rick Wise, Lady Lake, FL, Larry Wise, Lake Placid, Mike Wise (Dianne), Opp, AL, Stephen Wise, Turkey; siblings, Travis Wise, Sebring, FL, Carolyn Scruggs, Frost-proof, FL, and Christine Rhoden, Frostproof, FL; grandchildren, Chris Wise, Lake Placid, Tiffany Wise, Boynton Beach, FL, Jonathan Wise, Jax, FL, Jay and Alex Wise, Opp, AL; many nieces and nephews; and close and loving friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 10, at the Michael A. Brochetti Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 11 at Faith Baptist Church, Pastor Cole will celebrate. Burial will ensue at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lake Placid.
