MCLAUGHLIN, Donald Edward, 76 of Tampa, FL, passed away on February 23, 2013 surrounded by his family and into the arms of our Lord. Born on December 2, 1936 in Bangor, Maine, he is preceded in death by his brothers Bert McLaughlin and Frankie Blanchard. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Clara McLaughlin, and siblings, Donna Wilson, Frances Wescott, and Ethyl Lange; also his 7 children, Linda Koncis, Vicki Graff, Sharon Hussman, Colin Taylor (Lori), Dawn Diaz (Domingo), Byron Taylor (Tana), Robert McLaughlin, and 14 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. He served his country in U.S. Marine Corp from 1955-1958. After receiving an Honorable Discharge he attended the University of Maine from 1958-1961. Upon moving to Florida, he started his career with Continental Baking Company (Wonder Bread) where he retired after 25 years of service. He was the owner of Dad's Paint & Body for 26 years, a member of the Macdill AFB Men's Golf Association, and Rocky Point Men's Golf Association at the time of his passing. He enjoyed playing golf with his friends along with watching the Rays and Buccaneers on tv with his grandson, Shawn Taylor. A Celebration of Life will be held on March 10, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Unity of Tampa 3302 West Horatio Street Tampa, FL 33609.
