GORGES, Dorothy M., age 90, of Kimberly, formerly of Black Creek passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, April 2, 2014 at Florida Hospital, Sebring, FL surrounded by her family. She was born May 22, 1923 daughter of the late Wilmer and Angeline (Seif) Schulz. On August 16, 1941, she was united in marriage to Gordon F. Gorges. He preceded her in death January 26, 1997. Dorothy along with her husband Gordon operated a large dairy farm for most of their lives. The two retired and began spending their winters in Florida and summers in Wisconsin. Dorothy was very active in church, community and social activities. She very much enjoyed her winters in Florida and summers in Wisconsin. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Combined Locks, WI and St. James Catholic Church in Lake Placid, FL. Dorothy is survived by her eight children: Gene (Jo) Gorges, Aurora, IL; Sharri (Marvin) Hintz, Seymour; James (Peggy) Gorges, Black Creek; Richard (Marion) Gorges, Appleton; Dennis (Peri) Gorges, Appleton; Julie (Richard) Jacobsen, Neenah; Duane (Carrie) Gorges, Seymour; Todd Gorges, Black Creek; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; she is also survived by a sister, Joyce Freundorfer, Jackson, WI. She is preceded in death by one grandson, Terry Hinz; brothers-in-law, Walter Freundorfer and Gerald Gorges. A memorial service will be on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at St. James Catholic Church, 3380 Placid View Drive, Lake Placid, FL at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Michael Cannon officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour is assisting the family with arrangements. A memorial fund has been established in Dorothy's name.
