Elsie Midulla Suarez

SUAREZ, Elsie Midulla, 95, of Tampa, passed away October 8, 2007. Mrs. Suarez worked as a cigar roller for more than 40 years at Perfecto Garcia. She was also a lifelong member of the Italian Club. Her joys in life were her family, animals, and crocheting blankets. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Tony Suarez, and her six brothers and sisters. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Elsie Jean "Jeannie" and Pat Hailey, and Rena and Tony Prieto, along with her six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. She is also survived by her many beloved nieces and nephews and extended family members. The family would like to extend a special debt of gratitude to Elsa Rios Illas, who gave her loving care and dignity. In addition, the family would like to thank Dr. Vrajesh Shah and the entire staff of Brighton Gardens for their warm and compassionate loving care. The family would also like to thank LifePath Hospice (Jade Team) and her nurse, Wendy, for their care and support. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Kimberlee Massey, Anthony Governale, Stephen Governale, Bryan Prieto, Anthony T. Prieto and Christopher Prieto. Honorary pallbearers will include Joe Midulla, Frank Midulla, Pat Hailey, Donald Bryant Sr., Jack Lamb, Louis Filippello, Tony Prieto, Richard Midulla and Roger Massey. The family will receive friends 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., with services commencing at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, October 11, 2007, at Gonzalez Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Italian Club Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association, the Tampa Bay Humane Society or LifePath Hospice (Jade Team).
