DIAZ, Elvira 90, of Tampa, passed away September 24, 2013. She was pre-deceased by her loving husband Lionel Diaz; is survived by daughter and son-in-law Judy & Dennis Tamargo, granddaughter Lisa Tamargo and grandson Dennis C. Tamargo. Born and raised in Ybor City, Elvira married Lionel in 1944. Together, they enjoyed an appreciation for good food and great travels. As a homemaker, she was a wonderful cook and enthusiastic gardener. An avid reader throughout her lifetime, her intellectual curiosity and pursuit for knowledge never waned. Affectionately known by many as the Old Bag, she humorously embraced the unique term of endearment and welcomed the attention it brought. She will be greatly missed, yet forever remembered for her generosity and fortitude. The family will receive friends on Monday, Sept. 30 from 6-8pm at JGR Funeral Home. Private graveside service for the family will be held on Tuesday. Flowers accepted, or donations may be made to
