Emanuel Back Obituary

BACK, Emanuel Burton, was called home to the Lord May 15, 2011. He was born May 23, 1928, in Hamilton, Ohio. He was

preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Nora. Mr. Back came to Florida in 1958, and moved his family and business to Zephyrhills in 1960. He became one of the area's premier building contractors; completing construction of over 500 homes and commercial projects during his career. He was a devoted Christian, and possessed a passion for automobiles and a love for the mountains of North Carolina where he spent his summers for over 20 years. His contributions to the community were many, reflected by the large number of friends he shared. He is survived by his loving wife, Lulu Back, of 62 years; his six children, Alice (Randy) Batenhorst, Richard (Charlotte) Back, Betty (Barry) Bahr, Charles (Mary Ann) Back, Barbara (Jack) Schwey and William (Dina) Back; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Two services will take place at Zephyr Christian Church, 5940 Dogwood St., Zephyrhills, Fla. The visitation will take place

5-7 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2011. The funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m.-noon Friday, May 20, 2011, with food and fellowship immediately following. Interment services will take place at 2 p.m. Friday at

Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery, Highway 301, Dade City, Fla. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Diabetes Association in his name.
