Eudell Shamblin Obituary

SHAMBLIN, Eudell, 84, of Sebring, Fla., passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2011, in Sebring. She was

born November 18, 1926, to R.B. and Eliza (Gilbert) Tedder in Fort Payne, Ala., and had been a resident of Sebring since 1993, coming from Fort Myers Beach, Fla. She was a graduate of Fort Payne High School and was a member of the Pleasant Hills Baptist Church Girls Quartet in Fort Payne. She was a medical secretary at The Medical of Georgia in Augusta and was a member of Sparta Road Baptist Church in Sebring. She enjoyed RV'ing and traveling, cooking and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed Gospel music, especially The Gaithers. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Clarence M. Shamblin of Sebring; son, Adrian (Charlotte) Shamblin of Atlanta, Ga.; nephew, James Higginbotham of Labelle, Fla.; and niece, Cheryl Wilson of Scottsboro, Ala.

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2011, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring, with the Rev. Ken Geren officiating. The family will receive friends the hour preceding the service, beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the American Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements have been entrusted to Stephenson-Nelson
