GUGGINO, Frances, Age 90 was peacefully taken by the angels on Sunday Morning, October 27th to her permanent home in heaven, where she was reunited with her husband, Louis of 42 years. Frances was born on June 30, 1923 in Santo Stefano, Sicily. A woman of very simple means and strong faith who led by example, her world was God and Family and in that order. She loved sewing, cooking and to be surrounded by her family and friends. Everyone that entered her house was greeted by a warm greeting and in typical Sicilian fashion, "Mangia, Mangia!" She took great pleasure in baking pizza and cookies but greater pleasures in watching others enjoy them. Frances was dedicated to Our Blessed Mother and said the rosary everyday. Her devout faith and dedication to God, was acknowledged by her church, Most Holy Redeemer, when she was honored to receive the St. Jude Award. Throughout her life her children and grandchildren were her joy and she took every opportunity to tell them. She never hung up the phone without telling them how much she loved them and throwing several kisses. Today, with hearts breaking we say goodbye to a loving Mom, Grandmother and Friend but Jesus gains an Angel that has been preparing her whole life to meet Him. She is survived by her daughter Joann, son and daughter in-law Nelson and Karen, granddaughters Jennifer and Kara. Go in Peace Ma - we will love you always. The family will receive friends at the Boza & Roel Funeral Home located at 4730 N Armenia Ave on Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm and a rosary will be recited at 7 pm. Funeral services will be held 11 am Thursday at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with entombment to follow at the Italian Club Cemetery.
