PENNISI, Francis A., 73, of Lake Placid, Fla., died unexpectedly Tuesday evening, October 23, 2012, at Florida Hospital in Lake Placid. Francis was a native of New York. He was born July 31, 1939, son of Ms. Louise Ruggiero and John Pennisi of Brooklyn. Francis was a US Army veteran. He began a career as a sales agent in the insurance industry, which has spanned over 20 plus years. At the time of his death, Francis was an agent for United Health Care. Francis came to Lake Placid 14 years ago from Ft. Lauderdale. He loved cruising and was a member of the First Assembly Church of God in Lake Placid, where he taught Sunday School class. Francis is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Sandy; children, Darren (Michelle), Rayne Cooke (Brian), Colleen McNally (Eric), all of Lake Placid; 6 grandchildren; and he was blessed with a great grandchild. In celebration of his life, a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., today at the First Assembly Church of God. Pastor Johnnie Bryant will celebrate.
