WHIPPLE, Freda Delores (Jernigan), passed away peacefully on July 5, 2013 with her family by her side in Lakeland Florida. She was a 5th generation Floridian who was born in Bradenton, Florida and graduated from Manatee High School in 1952 where she was an All State Basketball Forward. She was married to the late Robert A. Whipple and had 3 daughters, Toni W. Russell, St. Petersburg, FL, Cheryl L. Whipple, Lakeland, FL and Kelli M. Stargel, Lakeland Florida. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She worked in Tampa as a banker for most of her professional career. She loved working with people and belonged to many social clubs including Kappa Delta Phi, Rotary Club of Land O'Lakes and her dice girls on Tuesday nights. She was an avid bowler for over 50 years. She was a long time member of St. Catherine Episcopal Church. She cherished her home in Land O'Lakes in her historical Log Cabin Home on Lake Padgett, where she continued to manager her mobile home park until her recent illness. She loved her hats and shoes and anything that sparkled! She looked forward to the family holiday cruise. Viewing will be Monday 6 to 8 and then services at Blount Curry with funeral services on Tuesday beginning at 11:30 am with burial at Manasota Memorial Park, 1221 53rd Ave., East, Bradenton, Fl 34203.
