DURNIN, Gerald "Jerry" 84, of Tampa, Fla. passed away peacefully on Wed., February 6, 2013. Gerald was born in Amite, Louisiana to Stewart and Dollie Durnin on September 17, 1928. He was the Head Football Coach at King High School from 1971 thru 1986 in Tampa. Gerald was a member of the Elite Club when his team was 10-1 in 1981. He received a Master's Degree from Mississippi State University and also played Baseball at the University during his academics. He enjoyed Golfing and was an Avid Golfer during his spare time and played mostly at Rocky Pointe Golf Course and many other local area Golf courses. He was a Baptist by Faith. Survivors include his loving wife Bobbye Durnin , daughters, Debra Peabody and Vicki Edmonds, 2 grandchildren, Derek and Jennifer. www.blountcurrycarrollwood.com
