GLEASON, Geralyn "Gerri" DelGiorno, 57, of Tampa, died suddenly Sunday morning, August 26, 2012, of accidental causes. Gerri was born June 19, 1955, to Joseph E. and Joan DelGiorno in Queens, NY, second in a family of 8 children. She is survived by her two sons, Damien and Brendan; her father; seven siblings and their families; her boyfriend, John Hoy; and the many others who loved her a lot. Gerri attended East Rockaway High School in East Rockaway, NY. She settled in Tampa almost 30 years ago and has been working as a Career Specialist at Erwin Technical Center. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in downtown Tampa and volunteered in their Hungry and Homeless program. Gerri had a way of making people of all ages feel instantly at ease. Her contagious laugh will be missed by all who knew her. A memorial service will be held Friday, August 31, 2012, at the First Presbyterian Church, 412 E. Zack St., in Tampa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be donated to First Pres Hungry and Homeless program by sending a check to the address above. Please mark payable to First Presbyterian Church of Tampa. In the memo or accompanying note, please write "for the Hungry and Homeless program in honor of Gerri."
