MICHAUD, Gerard "Jerry" "Pappa", 76 of Sebring, FL, formerly of Windsor, CT, passed away from leukemia May 3, 2013 at home sur-rounded by his family. He was the son of the late Pierre and Emilee (St. Onge) Michaud. Jerry, one of twelve children, was born on October 18, 1936 on a farm in Packington, Quebec, Canada. Jerry met his wife, Raymonde of 56 years, while picking potatoes in Maine. They moved to CT in 1957 where they settled and began a family. Jerry worked as a bricklayer for 40 years, the last 20 as a mason foreman for Lombardo Brothers until his retirement. He was an active Jehovah's Witness for the past 31 years. During this time he was appointed as an elder and pioneer, and served until his death. Jerry will always be remembered for his devotion to his family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and his religion, but the fondest memories will be of his love for his wife, babysitting the grandkids, his teaching of the Bible and the evenings playing cards with Raymonde, his sister, Irene and many friends. Jerry was a strong, humble, and gentle man who was well respected. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Jerry is survived by his wife, Raymonde Grandmaison; his children, Michael Michaud, Jerry Michaud and his wife, Donna, Brenda Laskowski (Michaud) and her husband, Frank, Diane Michaud-Kline and Brian Michaud and his wife, Penny; twelve grandchildren, Michael, Frank Jr., Jessica, Matthew, David, Eric, Marco, Alex, Sherri, Brendan, Timothy, and Jonathan; ten great granchildren. Memorial services will be held at the Kingdon Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Sebring, Florida. Services will begin at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 11, 2013.
