ZEGEL, Gregory Michael, 21, of Brandon, passed away Dec. 4, 2012 at home. Greg will always be remem-bered for his zest for life and adventure. He sought out the fastest and highest roller coasters and from the time he first learned to swim, made it a mission to perform the most creative dives off the side of the pool. He graduated from Bloomingdale High School in 2010, where he excelled as a violinist in the orchestras. A talented and bright musician, he attended the Kinhaven Music School in Vermont for several summers and was a member of the Tampa Bay Youth Orchestra during the school year. In addition to music, Greg loved baseball. He spent seven years in the South Brandon Little League program and was a super loyal Rays fan. Greg is survived by his mother, Kay Smith; father, Donald Zegel; maternal grandparents, Wayne and Waldina Smith; paternal grandparents, Robert and Roberta Zegel; aunts, Nancy Smith and Elaine Curran, Lynn Chenoweth and Joan Zegel; uncle, Steve Smith and cousins, Tyler Tillman and Reid Curran. A memorial service will be held on Monday, Dec. 10 at 7:00 pm, at First Presbyterian Church of Brandon, 121 Carver Ave., Brandon, FL 33510. In lieu of flowers, family members request that donations be made to The Kinhaven Music School, 6 Elberta Road, Maplewood, NJ 07040.
