HERRINGTON, Harry Randolph, Jr., Son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Herrington, Sr. of Tampa. He graduated from Plant High School and University of Florida where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta and L'Apache. He served as a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army with the 82nd Airborne as Battery Commander. His career was defined by 42 years with the Hobart Corporation as District Manager in Orlando where he guided a team that, among other awards, was distinguished as first in the nation. In his community he served countless hours with Boone High School athletics. For his service to numerous sports programs he was inducted into the BHS Sports Hall of Fame after receiving a life time gold pass to all sporting events. He served as President of the BHS Booster Club. Additionally, he was a member of Masonic Orlando Lodge 69 for 34 years, Scottish Rites Valley of Orlando, Bahia Shrine and The Cathedral Church of St. Luke. He was preceded in death by his son, Harry Randolph Herrington III [Randy]. He is survived by his wife, Emily; daughters and sons-in law, Holly, Kevin, Savannah and Randy Eby, Laura Herrington, Allison, Larry, Claire and Grace Dolan, Lesley, Brandon and Kayla Schulz; and exchange student/son, Michael Achiam and family. A memorial service will be held at The Cathedral Church of St. Luke at 2:00 p.m. Monday July 1. In lieu of flowers the family graciously requests donations be made to or Boone High School Athletics Assoc. [BHSAA].
