EVENSON, Irvin F., 86, of Dade City, passed away September 30, 2012. He was born August 4, 1926 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin to Alfred and Bessie (Smith) Evenson. Mr. Evenson was a US Army veteran serving during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 424 in Tampa and a member of the Dade City Christian Church. Irvin loved life and kept everybody informed (CINCO). He is survived by his wife, Masie; children, Mike, Marty (Rosie) Doris Younglove (Bruce), Julie Vorhees (Jim), Donna Stokes and Sue Hiser; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brother, Glen; and sisters, Marian and Lona. He was predeceased by a son, Maynard. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 pm, Thursday, October 4 at Whitfield Funeral Home. Services will be held 12:00 pm, Friday, October 5 at the funeral home. Interment will follow 2:30 pm at Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to All Children's Hospital, St. Petersburg, FL.
