GOODWIN, III, James Bennett "Jimmy", 73, of Tampa passed away on Sept. 21, 2013 at Bay Pines VAMC. He was a native of Tampa, FL and was a 1958 graduate of Middleton High School where he played football. He was an E5 in the US Navy and attended Hillsborough Community College and USF. He was employed as a coach operator for Greyhound Bus Lines for 23 years. He was a member of Mt. Zion P. M. B. Church where he sang in the male choir. He was a board member and coach for Lakewood Jr. Spartans Football; also a coach for Bay Point Little League Baseball, Lake Vista Youth Basketball and Canterbury High School Football. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Sabrina; two sons, James Goodwin, IV and Richard Reese; three daughters, Vondalyn Goodwin, Valicia Tellis and LaPatia Gibbs; three brother-in-laws, Stanley, Michael and James Greene; two sister-in-laws, Sheila and Cheryl Greene; twelve grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his mother in law, Johnnie L. Greene; a special cousin, Olivia Carmichael-Brown; and a host of neices, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
