FALLS, James Milton "Jim Dandy", 90, of Lake Placid, Fla., died Saturday afternoon January 4, 2014. in the companionship of his loving family. Jim was a native of Massachusetts, born December 20, 1923, son of Ms. Julia and John Falls of Canton. Jim enlisted with the US Navy at a young age. He served our country proudly during WWII. Jim was stationed and fought in the Pacific Theatre aboard the USS Saratoga. After Jim was discharged he began a career as a finishing carpenter and worked for over 30 years with the Local Carpenters Union 769 in Miami, Fla. Jim has been a resident of Lake Placid for the past 29 years. He and his late wife Jean Marie, where very active in the community and enjoyed traveling to Alaska and Vegas. Jim was a past member of the Elks, American Legion and Past President of the Local Union 769. Jim was a Catholic by faith. Jim is survived by his children, Sheila Evrard (Chuck), Steve (Debbie); grandchildren, Jennifer, Alicia (Mario), Stephen (Lauren), step-granddaughter, Jackie Evrard-Vescio; great grandchildren, Joshua, Mason, Hunter, Chase, Athen and Genevieve. He was predeceased by his wife, Jean Marie, in 2012. Family will have a private viewing and funeral services will begin at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday January 8, from the Michael A. Brochetti Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the . Funeral arrangements are under the loving devotion of MICHAEL A.
