SABIN, Jennie Rodeiro,, 93, passed away on Oct. 1, 2013. She was born on May 12, 1920 in the Palmetto neighbor-hood of Tampa, FL. At the age of five she moved with her mother and brothers to Cee, Spain, and eventually to Santiago de Compostella, Spain. In 1939, they returned to Tampa. She graduated from Our Lady of Perpetual Help High School in 1942. In 1946, she married the love of her life, Joe A. Sabin. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt. She was co-owner of Sabin Radio and TV on 15th Street (Ybor City) until the death of her husband in 1975. After his death she worked at Dorinda's Yarn Shop on 7th Ave. in Ybor City and then for Joann Fabrics until her retirement. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, needlework and scrap booking. She traveled throughout Europe with her son, Joe and his wife, Julie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Juanita Rodeiro; her husband, Joe A. Sabin; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Jose Rodeiro (Olga), Robert Rodeiro (Esther) and Anibal Rodeiro; nephew Hannibal Rodeiro; and daughter-in-law, Julie Insausti Sabin. She is survived by her son, Joseph R. Sabin; sister-in-law, Esther Rodeiro (Anibal); brother-in-law Jerry Sabin (Josefina); nephews and nieces, Joyce Martinez (Victor), Joseph Rodeiro (Nuni), Irene Hunter (John), Josie Buzzetti(AI), Steve Rodeiro (Valerie), Anne Abeel (John), Orlando, Ed Sabin (Debbie)Tequesta, FL, Michael Sabin (Sandra), Sunnyvale, CA; many grand and great nephews and nieces; and close friends Alfred and Dot Esperon, Larry and Frieda Noblitt and their family. The family would like to thank the owners and staff of Bamboo Villas ALF for their loving care during her stay there as well as the Teal Team of LifePath Hospice. Visitation will take place from 6-8 PM on Friday October 4, 2013 at Boza & Roel Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 pm, Saturday October 5, 2013 at St Lawrence Catholic Church. The family will receive friends one hour before the Mass. Burial and graveside service at the Centro Espanol Memorial Park Cemetery immediately following the Mass. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Jesuit High School in support of the school's financial assistance program for current families in need. Contributions, made out to Jesuit High School, can be sent to Jesuit High School, 4701 N. Himes Ave., Tampa, FL 33614.
