John Pollard Obituary



POLLARD, John W., 88, of Tampa, died Monday, May 23, 2011. John was

born in Gadsden, Ala., and was a World War II veteran. He is survived by his loving caregiver, Merrytha Innocent; daughters, Rhonda Lee Walther of St. Cloud, Fla., Jo Ann Walsh (James) of Viera, Fla., Katie Pollard, (Marcia) of Tallahassee, Fla., and Jennifer George of Southern Pines, N.C.; five grandchildren, Donald Walther Jr. (Brooke), Jacqueline Walther, Felicia George, William George II, all of Florida, and Eamon George of North Carolina; one great-grandchild, Kathryn Walther of Florida; and his brother, Freddie Pollard (Wanda) of Albertville, Ala. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 1, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Temple Terrace. Burial will be private at a later date. Visitation is planned the same day, 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, June 1, at the Blount Curry, Terrace Oaks Chapel, 12690 N. 56th Street, Temple Terrace. Words of comfort may be expressed at www.blount
