Jack Drawdy Obituary



DRAWDY, Jack W., of Tampa, passed away May 13, 2011. Jack was born in

Mobile, Ala., December 6, 1937. Jack went to Southern Tech and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering. He served in the U.S. Navy. He worked at Ryan Reaity, Freedom Federal Savings and Loan, and TECO. He was involved in the Tampa Jaycees, Tampa World Trade Council, MacDonald Training Center and many more charitable organizations. He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Drawdy. He is survived by his sons, Jeffery Drawdy and Joseph Drawdy; his daughter, Angela Drawdy; and his three grandchildren, Zoe Hansard, Jonathan and Christopher Drawdy. A memorial service will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, May 20, in the chapel at Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church.

Jack was intelligent, charming, witty and fun. We had some happy years together. I have many fond memories of sailing, skiing, enjoying the beach, and parties with friends and family. My family loved Jack, and I am have not doubt that my parents were there to welcome him into heaven.
