Joseph Florjancic

FLORJANCIC, Joseph P., 94, of Avon Park, Fla., went to be with his Lord

and his wife, Margaret,

Monday, May 16, 2011, at The Cottages of Bradenton, Fla. He was born April 6, 1917, in Cleveland, Ohio, and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps, and was based in Calcutta, India, during World War II. Joe worked at Reliance Electric for 26 years, then as a sales representative for Marmon/Keystone Corp. for 16 years. Retired in 1980, he then moved to Plant City, Fla., for 12 years before settling in Avon Park in 1992. He was a member of The Society of Barbershop Quartets in Ohio and a member of Slovene National Benefit Society Lodge. Joe truly enjoyed the game of golf, which occupied most of his retirement years. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Margaret, his high school sweetheart. They married in 1940. He is survived by his nephews and nieces, Ronald (Dorothy) Florjancic, Arlene Simonitis (George Langa), Louis (Donna) Florjancic, Saundra (John) McMann, Sharon (Richard) Heil and Sally Basiger. A memorial Mass will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 26, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Our Lady of Grace Church.
