YOUNG, Dr. Juan M, "El Chino", beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away January 14, 2013. Born in Havana, Cuba on June 19, 1950 to Manuel and Brigida Young. He came to the U.S. in 1961 and graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1968. Attended USF and graduated with his medical degree from Universidad Central del Este in the Dominican Republic in 1987. Dr. Young was active in the Cuban community and was well known for his many acts of kindness and generosity. He proudly served the U.S. Army from 1970-1972. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Alina Cuervo Young; son, Dr. Juan M. Young Jr., his daughter, Lucy Young; sisters, Clara Young, Carmen Stoddard, Lourdes Cuervo as well as many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by a great number of friends and family. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11am to 12 at St Lawrence Catholic Church where funeral services will be held at 12 Interment to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
