AHRENS, Kathleen V., 70, of Lithia, affectionately known as Bunny, died Sunday, February 12, 2006, at Brandon Regional Hospital after a lengthy illness. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Edward P. Jr.; two sons, Edward P. III of Valrico, his wife, Pam, and granddaughter, Christy, and John Michael of Lithia, his wife, Rachel, and grandchildren, John Michael, Angelique, Alexandria and Joseph; and her brother, Benjamin Van Buren of Coral Gables. Bunny was born in and lived in Miami, Fla., until she and her husband moved to Lithia three years ago to be near their sons. In her youth, Bunny was an accomplished ballerina, and her love of music and dance prevailed throughout her life. Bunny was dearly loved by her family, most especially her husband, who devoted his retired years to her tender loving care. Memorial services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2006, at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, 6919 Providence Road, Riverview, with the family receiving friends one ho ur prior to services. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
