KROGER, Ken, 61, of South Tampa, FL., passed away November 12, 2013. Having spent nearly 4 decades as a dedicated architect in Tampa, Ken was an honored graduate of the University of Florida and a community advocate of fine arts and historical preservation. He dedicated many years to serving the schools of architecture at several state universities and had a genuine passion for helping to reestablish schools in Haiti. He was a proud father and will be missed every day. He was predeceased by his wife Patricia Kroger and is survived by his parents Otto and Enid Kroger, daughter Kendall Kroger, son Kevin Kroger, sisters Karen Covington (Langford) and Kris Kroger (Larry). He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Tampa Connection Leadership Program, the Southern Building Code Congress, Chairman of Ybor City Main Street Committee, City of Tampa Chairman and Board member of the Flood Board for 20 years and City of Tampa member of Unified Construction Trades Board. Visitation will be Sunday, November 17, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Funeral Service to follow at 3:00 p.m., both at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S. MacDill Ave., Tampa, FL. Burial will be Monday, November 18, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Myrtle Hill Cemetery, 4002 N. 50th Street, Tampa, FL.
